PLUGLESS L2 Wireless Electric Vehicle Charging System Named by Popular Science Magazine as the Best of What’s New

Evatran Joins Past Winning Products from BMW, Google, and Tesla

RICHMOND, VA November 12, 2014 – Today, Evatran Group, the leading developer of high-power wireless charging products, announced that the PLUGLESS L2 EV Charging System, has been named one of the best products of the year by Popular Science Magazine. Popular Science reviews thousands of products in search of the top tech innovations of the year for Best of What’s New – naming technologies that represent a significant leap forward in their industries. PLUGLESS joins such previous winners as the BMW i3, the Tesla Model S, and Google Glass.

The PLUGLESS System is a groundbreaking product allowing electric vehicle owners to charge their EVs quickly without plugging in. The simple, sleek design is user-friendly, working seamlessly with the EV’s onboard features, apps, and functions.

Early versions of the System were installed with partners such as Google, Hertz, and SAP. The PLUGLESS system first became available to individual EV owners this year and has since been installed from Montreal to Los Angeles to Austin. The System is currently available for the Nissan LEAF, Chevrolet Volt, and Cadillac ELR.

The PLUGLESS System will be featured, alongside the other winners, in the much-anticipated December issue of Popular Science, available across the Country on Tuesday, November 11.

“It is an honor to be named to Popular Science’s 2014 List of the Best of What’s New,” commented Rebecca Hough, Evatran CEO and Co-Founder. “From the first dream of PLUGLESS, we’ve wanted this technology to make the lives of EV drivers easier, more convenient… and yes, a little bit more fun. We’re thrilled for the recognition and excited by the challenge to make the list again in years to come, because we’re just at the beginning of the innovations we plan to bring to market.”

“For 27 years, Popular Science has honored the innovations that surprise and amaze us – those that make a positive impact on our world today and challenge our view of what’s possible in the future.” said Cliff Ransom, Editor-in-Chief of Popular Science. “The Best of What’s New Award is the magazine’s top honor, and the winners – chosen from among thousands of entrants – each a revolution in its field.”
