    After graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, Rebecca spent her early career specializing in consumer product management consulting with Kurt Salmon Associates in New York. In 2009, Rebecca returned to Virginia and co-founded Evatran, becoming EVP of Sales and Product Development. Rebecca led the company in forging strategic partnerships with Google, Hertz, and the US Department of Energy and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2011. In late 2012, after a competitive national search, the Board asked Rebecca to become Evatran’s CEO. In 2013, she was named to Inc. magazine’s Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30.

    Nathan Richards holds a BBA and Masters of Accounting from The College of William & Mary. Nathan began his career at Ernst & Young with 10 years in public and corporate accounting, specializing in the organization and management of operational accounting, financial analysis and regulatory compliance. He then spent 5 years as the North American Controller for an international manufacturer of a measurement and sensor technologies. Nathan joined Evatran as Controller in 2012, and was promoted to CFO in 2014.

    With a degree in economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from The College of William & Mary, Jake’s career began as a financial analyst and consultant with FleetBoston.  In 2005, he moved to Measurement Specialties, a global designer and manufacturer of sensors and sensor-based systems, where he led a variety of operational and program functions including supply chain management, offshore manufacturing, and process and productivity analysis.   In 2011, Jake joined Capital One’s corporate finance team, overseeing various cost down efforts and operational transformation initiatives.  Jake joined Evatran in 2014, leading supply chain, manufacturing, and installation operations. He now oversees Evatran’s strategic engagements, including its joint venture with VIE in China.

    Will’s interest in manufacturing began while studying Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.  Upon graduation, Will settled in Richmond, VA and began his career at Cintas.  In 2000, he joined Infineon Technologies’ $1.5B semiconductor fab where he directed various Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams.  Between 2009 and 2011, Will served as the Manufacturing Manager at Charlottesville’s NIITEK.  During this time, the company grew from an R&D business to a full-scale producer of mine detection systems for the US Army and Marine Corps.  Upon returning to Richmond, Will spent 5 years at Capital One Bank in various Process Engineering and Operations Management positions.  Joining Evatran in 2016, Will leads the Manufacturing and Purchasing organizations.

    Tom began his career in 1973 with General Electric, where he worked for 16 years in industrial electrical equipment leadership. In 1998, Tom purchased the specialist high-power transformer manufacturer MTC Transformers, which he built from 4 employees to a $40 million-a-year business with a multi-division operational footprint and 175+ employees. In 2009, Tom and his colleagues at MTC began experimenting with the use of modified transformers for electric vehicle (EV) charging. The result was the induction technology Plugless Power, which was spun off from MTC in 2010, becoming wholly owned and produced by Evatran. Tom retired in 2012, with a strategic exit that sold MTC to a private equity firm.

    Joe serves as a Member of Industry Advisory Network at Blue Heron Capital, LLC. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at CarMax from 1998 to December 2012. During his tenure at CarMax, the company’s sales rose from less than $1 Billion to more than $10 Billion, the company’s stock increased in value over 10 fold, and the company was named by Fortune magazine as one of the 100 best companies to work for 9 years in a row. He was one of the top five officers of the company during that time period. Mr. Kunkel served as a Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at CarMax, Inc. from April 2001 to December 22, 2012. He joined CarMax, Inc. in 1998 as a Vice President, Marketing and Strategy. Prior to joining CarMax, Inc. Mr. Kunkel served as the President of Wholesome Kidfoods, Inc. and a Senior Manager with McKinsey and Company. Early in his career, he worked for General Motors and General Electric. Mr. Kunkel has spent over 25 years consulting and leading strategy and marketing teams for a number of different companies.

    In 2004, Leal graduated from Troy University with his MBA. He started his early career as the General Manager at American Sunstar, INC. Then he spent nearly five years at BEPC Limited Corporation. In 2010, Leal began to serve as President and CEO of VIE Group. Throughout his tenure at VIE, the company has expanded the scale of operations into many fields including auto parts with two listed companies. Auto parts is a leading industry which has successfully entered into PACCAR, NAVISTAR, DAMILER, NISSAN and TOYOTA supplier systems. VIE has also set up joint ventures with Haldex, Protean and Evatran separately in China. Under Leal’s operating management, the sales of VIE reached 1.7 billion dollars in 2015, with nearly 3,500 employees. In 2015, Leal joined the board of Evatran.
