Inductive power transfer technology is safe, proven, and the same process that charges your electric toothbrush.
For over 100 years, electrical devices around the world have been using inductive power transfer to generate electricity across an air gap. Coils create an electromagnetic field that can be converted into an electrical current once it crosses the gap. No electricity actually flows between the coils.

Plugless Power™ wireless EV charging systems bring that technology to your electric vehicle. Using high-frequency AC power, the transmitting coil in the parking pad creates the electromagnetic field. The vehicle adapter (the receiving coil) outputs 400V DC electricity directly to the car’s on-board battery charger – safely and efficiently.

Sears Home Services is the residential and commercial installation arm of Sears Holdings – and they serve as the installation partner for Plugless Power charging systems. Benefits offered to Plugless Power customers through the Sears agreement include:

  • Simplified Purchasing: Evatran will offer Plugless Power systems with optional basic or standard home installation wrapped into the purchase price of the equipment; this full price may be included in the vehicle purchase or lease at the time of sale.
  • Pre-Installation Site Visits: Site visits, as necessary to quote non-standard and commercial installations, will be completed in advance of installations.
  • Timely Installation: Sears will receive automatic notification of a customer’s installation request; Sears will contact the customer within one business day of equipment purchase to schedule home installation.
  • Convenient Additional Services: Sears will offer ongoing service and maintenance to Plugless Power owners.
