Description
Duke Energy is an electrical utility with coverage areas across North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Driver
A Duke employee will be driving the vehicle on his daily commute from his home to Duke’s headquarters. The driver will provide direct feedback on his daily experiences with the wireless charging equipment. The individual has previously been plugging the vehicle in to recharge.
System Location
The system will be installed in a garage outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Duke Energy currently has PEV pilot programs underway in several states and is actively collaborating with the industry to ensure electric vehicle adoption occurs in a safe and reliable manner. Duke Energy is testing multiple types of plug-in vehicles in its own fleet to better understand the performance capabilities.
