Thomas Hough, Chairman of the Board, Founder
Tom Hough is the Chairman of the Board for Evatran. Tom acquired MTC Transformers, Evatran’s original parent company, in 1998. He and his management team grew the company into a world-class supplier of transformers and associated services, with an average growth rate of 28% per year since 1998. Tom has since sold MTC with successful exits to focus on Evatran. Prior to MTC, Tom was the vice president / general manager of electrical equipment for Tampa Armature Works. Tom began his career in 1973 with General Electric, where he worked for 16 years in industrial electrical equipment sales and service. Tom graduated with a B.S. in industrial engineering from Purdue University and earned his MBA from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.
Rebecca Hough, CEO, Co-Founder
Rebecca Hough is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for Evatran. Rebecca, the daughter of Tom Hough, currently sets Evatran’s strategic direction and oversees all of Evatran’s day-to-day operations. In this position, Rebecca has spearheaded strategic partnership development including the company’s relationships with Google, Sears and Yazaki North America. She has led the development of the Company’s go-to-market strategy and developed marketing initiatives including the Company’s social media strategy and customer reservation program. Rebecca has represented the Company at numerous speaking engagements, directs the Company media relations strategy, and participates in key industry conferences including the 2011 Business of Plugging-In Conference in Detroit. Prior to joining Evatran, Rebecca was a management consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates out of New York City, consulting on projects in the retail and consumer products sectors. Graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, Rebecca earned a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management.
Brian Normann, VP of Technology and Product Development
Brian Normann is Vice President of Technology and Product Development for Evatran. Brian has over 20 years of product development experience bringing technical products to market. He managed engineering teams at Caterpillar and Schilling Robotics, successfully leading the engineering and development of construction equipment and subsea remotely controlled systems. Mr. Normann holds B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Physics, and a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Kevin Beck, VP of Sales and Business Development
Kevin Beck is Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Evatran. In this position, Kevin has led the development of the Company’s Apollo Trial Program and manages the Company’s partner network on a day to day basis. Kevin has 20 years of sales and business development experience from a prior position with Smith Electric Vehicles to early positions within the telecom space. Kevin holds a B.S. from Kansas State University.
