Evatran invites EV drivers to join the Plugless Power™ Field Trial program for 2010. The world’s first “hands-free” EVSE, Plugless Power™ is designed to ensure maximum convenience and reliability while charging electric vehicles and extended-range hybrids. To be true to these goals, we are seeking participants to be among the first to road test this revolutionary dual-component charging system. Program Objective:

To collect data from EV drivers to evaluate the merits of Plugless Power™ in real-life situations.  The results will be used in the industrial design process to determine optimal size, placement and other features of this technology.

Location and Scope:

We are offering the first phase of our Field Trial program to drivers in and around Wytheville, Virginia.  Drivers outside this area are invited to complete an application for future consideration. We will explore the geographical areas with the highest concentration of applicants for future test installations of Plugless Power™.  

Timeframe:

Vehicle delivery is scheduled to occur in March 2010. Plugless Power™ prototype units will be installed after an initial EV acclimation period for the participants. The next phase of Field Trials is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2010.

Participant Requirements:

Drive the vehicle on a regular basis and provide electronic feedback via dedicated blog.
